Louisiana Coast – Great Place to Enjoy the Stars & Nightlife!

In Louisiana’s Cajun Bayou, the most distinctive nightlife spot is Thibodaux’s own Mudbug Brewery. Sample Cajun-style brews like the King Cake Ale, named for the Mardi Gras delicacy and featuring hints of cinnamon and vanilla, or the White Boot Ale, which pays tribute to the footwear preferred by shrimpers. On the weekends, you can hear live music from local musicians. Nearby, Donner-Peltier Distillers transforms local rice into Oryza vodka, and they incorporate local sugarcane into their Rougaroux rums. It’s all worth a sample – or two – and the distillery is happy to share their craft cocktails and the story of the Rougaroux (Cajun Werewolf) with you!

Live music is a nightly occurrence in the Lake Charles area, with its 4 casino resorts, there is always a band, solo performer or headliner to be found. Like many cities in Louisiana, we are blessed with local talent and songwriters. Locally owned, unique places to find live music are Rikenjak’s Brewing Company (7 days a week), Luna Live or Luna Bar & Grill, Blue Dog Café and Crying Eagle Brewery. Or, for riverside music, check out Loggerhead’s with Cajun music every Wednesday night. Each venue has an eclectic flair, and you’ll be sure to create memories. #VisitLakeCharles
