Louisiana LOVES to celebrate! We celebrate life every day, our festivals and events just happen to be a way to share our celebrating. In fact, we have more festivals than there are days in the year, so you can always find something going on! January
The Third Bayou Teche Wooden Boat Show is in April. The show starts Friday at 6 p.m. and continues through Sunday. We've progressed from a single-day show, to two days and now for the full weekend. The show is held in conjunction with the Bayou Teche Black Bear and Birding festival along Parc sur la Teche in the historic district of downtown Franklin.
Please join us, either as a participant or a viewer, for what has become the fastest growing wooden boat event in Louisiana.
August
Festival with family atmosphere. Festival features hot sauce competition, Jambalaya cook-off, live entertainment, food court, crafts and much more.

May
This Festival honors the shrimping industry with events including a Shrimp Cook-off, queens pageants, fais-do-dos, carnival rides, food court and much more
