Now that school is out and summer has officially begun, many anglers are heading to the coastal waters of Louisiana for rig fishing in June.  Local anglers love rig fishing in June as the weather is generally calm and the temperatures aren’t too hot (just yet) and the fishing is as good as it gets – especially for the tasty and hard fighting red snapper. In fact, the world record for red snapper caught on a fly rod was landed by Susan Gros when fishing with Tommy Pellegrin of Custom Charters back in 2006.
