Cooking with St. Bernard Seafood & Farmers Market

Saturday, June 9th Chef Lincoln Owens from MeMe’s Bar and Grille will be showcased at the St. Bernard Seafood & Farmer’s Market demonstrating “Seasonal Cooking” using fresh ingredients available at the Market.  The farm to table cooking demonstration is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.

“Meme’s Bar and Grille feels it’s very important to find local ingredients that are as fresh as possible to use in our dishes; “You can really taste the difference with fresh Louisiana seafood and locally grown produce” says Owens.

Chef Lincoln invites cooking enthusiasts to come and learn new cooking techniques, ask your culinary questions and sample his dish using fresh ingredients all found at the  St. Bernard Seafood & Farmers Market. Complimentary culinary magazines from Louisiana Cookin’ and Louisiana Kitchen will be available during the demonstration.

Other items you can pick up this Saturday at the Market are creole tomatoes, a variety of peppers, herbs, breads, baked goods, jams, pickled vegetables, farm eggs, shrimp, garden plants, seeds, and art & craft items.

The Market, located at 409 Aycock Street in the Old Arabi Historic District, is open from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Live music will be performed by Craig Paddock. Bring the kids in their swim suits to play in the dancing, pop up fountain.
